In recent years Tribus has been broadening its horizons with the ambition of becoming the international parts supplier for wheelchair conversion kits. That’s why we presented our minibus parts for wheelchair conversion kits at the fair IAA.  The international character of the IAA was the perfect platform to propagate this proposition. With 56m2 of Tribus parts, visitors could experience the quality and possibilities of the products themselves.

At the booth, visitors could experience the new flooring system TriflexAIR 2.0 in combination with the newly launched Passenger Safety Check system. This wireless signalling system checks whether wheelchair and seated passengers are properly secured. A tablet on the dashboard uses simple icons to tell the driver which passengers require attention. As an extra safety check, the red LED strip on the floor lights up when a wheelchair passenger is not properly secured. The demo floor featured 8 seats with different colours, fabrics and options. Visitors could also view the Low Entry Kit, the entry bars and pre-fab interior parts. Outside we offered a Test Drive in the Fiat E-Ducato Tribus wheelchair conversion.

We look back on this 7-day international trade show with success. In addition to the many Dutch customers we received, we also meet interesting international bus converters from various parts of the world who travelled to the IAA to find new suppliers and to gain knowledge about the latest developments in the automotive industry. With the development of TriflexAIR 2.0, we were able to further distinguish our flooring system from the competition. The ultra light construction in combination with the wireless signalling system is unique in the market and confirms our innovative strength.
