Positive feedback on use of TriflexAIR 2.0

In recent months, various Tribus customers have tested the TriflexAIR 2.0 floor system in practice. The results are good and production can start. The current TriflexAIR floor system will be phased out and will eventually be completely replaced by TriflexAIR 2.0. A nice addition to the development is possibility to choose your own print on the floor. Tribus is investigating the possibilities of personalizing the floor and expects to be able to offer this option soon.

Quote from one of our customers who field tested TriflexAIR 2.0:
Ed van Breejen, Bodetax b.v.: “The floor has a good grip, which ensures safety. The reflective red LED strips on the side in combination with the day-night interior lighting also provide a good view of the floor.”

The development of the new flooring system TriflexAIR 2.0

Weight is a continuous challenge in the M1 passenger food. To be allowed to drive a wheelchair bus with driving license B, a maximum GVW of 3500 kg applies. Now that the focus is increasingly on electric driving, the weight is increasing due to the heavy battery packs. By constructing light, the maximum GWV can be met without compromising on possibilities or number of passengers. In this context, our current TriflexAIR system has been upgraded and TriflexAIR 2.0 has been developed with a focus on weight savings. In both systems, the wheelchair restraint system is fully integrated into the floor. The choice of materials and construction has changed and this has resulted in a weight saving of up to 35%, depending on the type of vehicle and layout. The floor has been extensively tested according to the highest safety standards on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Volkswagen (e)Crafter and has an M1 type approval. The Fiat (E-)Ducato will undergo testing in the last week of June. Later on in July we will test the Renault Master. The other minibus models will follow this year. TriflexAIR 2.0 will be lighter but with the same quality, reliability and safety specifications.
