Tribus

On 4 & 5 November Tribus exhibited at the German trade fair European Taximesse. This German trade fair attracted also a lot of European and was well attended by many visitors.

This annual fair was organised by Fachvereinigung Personenverkehr Nordrhein Taxi Mietwagen e.V and for the first time it took place in Essen, Germany. This German trade fair attracted a lot of European visitors as well and both days had a lot of visitors. Besides many exhibitors there were also a lot of workshops and seminars about the future of Taxi. Tribus was blessed with many visitors at our booth and our team welcomed a lot of new customers and enjoyed the nice atmosphere. At our stand we showed the new Ford E-Transit wheelchair minibus and the Civitas Economy Taxi version. We also demonstrated the new Passenger Safety Check on the TriflexAIR 2.0 floor system.

Passenger Safety Check system

At our booth, visitors experienced the Passenger Safety Check system. This wireless signalling system checks whether wheelchair and seated passengers are properly secured. A tablet on the dashboard uses simple icons to inform the driver which passengers require attention. As an extra safety check, the red LED strip on the floor lights up when a wheelchair passenger is not properly secured. The demo floor was equipped with 8 TriflexAIR Seats in different colours, fabrics and options to show visitors the endless possibilities for our Seats. With the development of TriflexAIR 2.0, Tribus is able to further distinguish our flooring system from the competition. The ultra light construction in combination with the wireless signalling system is unique in the market and confirms our innovative strength.

Civitas Economy Taxi version

Visitors were amazed to see the first taxi-version of the Civitas Economy. This model has been created for our German customer Taxi Matthias Müller and he is convinced that this is the Taxi of the future. The vehicle can accommodate 8 passengers + driver and has one wheelchair place. It has a lowered chassis with wide metro doors for super fast boarding. Special about this vehicle is the lay-out which provides room for luggage/ suitcases. The ambience is spacious thanks to the large windows that offer a perfect view to the outdoors for all passengers. The vehicle is based on a Volkswagen Crafter.

Ford E-Transit wheelchair accessible minibus

We also demonstrated the Ford E-Transit wheelchair minibus that accommodates up to 7 passengers + driver and up to 2 wheelchair places. The vehicle has a 68 kWh battery pack and a wide range of 250 km (370 WLTP) that easily fits in almost all driving schedules. The sliding door has an electrical step with yellow entry bars.
