Tribus is developing a new model low floor minibus Civitas Economy based on a Volkswagen Crafter L4. The Civitas is a M1 minibus and can be driven with a driver’s licence B. With TriflexAIR seats, one wheelchair space and a folding ramp, the Civitas is especially designed for public transport. This agile M1 minibus will be available with European Type Approval and is ideal for community transport.

Highly accessible
The Civitas is a low floor minibus with easy access for people with reduced mobility. The Civitas is equipped with a folding ramp making this minibus highly accessible for wheelchair passengers. Thanks to the wide metro doors by Ventura boarding is easy for all passengers.

Volkswagen Crafter base
The Volkswagen Crafter is an ideal base vehicle because its features front wheel drive, automatic gearbox and is lightweight. Its Euro 6 diesel engine has one of the lowest emissions in its class. The dimensions are 6,84m length and 2,04m width. As a Volkswagen Premium Partner, Tribus will get approval by the Volkswagen factory once the design is finished.

Integrated wheelchair restraint system TriflexAIR
One of the unique features is the fully integrated TriflexAIR flooring system. This patented solution features a mechanical and integrated wheelchair restraint system that is easy and fast to operate. Panoramic windows provide an optimal view and travel experience for all passengers. The Civitas has comfortable TriflexAIR seats with integrated three-point belts. All seats have ISOFIX connections for the safe transport of children.

The first 26 vehicles are already sold to Q-Buzz and expect to drive in The Netherlands at the end of 2019.

First demo model at Busworld 2019
We expect to launch the first driving demo model on the exhibition Busworld 2019  from 18 – 23 October. You can find Tribus in hall 9, stand 905.
