Syntus goes for zero emission with Tribus

Syntus operates according to a so-called fishbone model, where the spine represents train services and the bones represent the bus services connecting scarcely populated areas to the railroad network. With the deployment of electric minibuses from Tribus, the service area of Syntus in the Green Heart can be fully electrified.

This summer, the Green Heart of Holland will be even greener. Tribus is about to build the first Dutch Zero Emission community minibuses. The electric buses will operate between the villages Mijdrecht and Breukelen and connect this part of the Dutch Green Heart with the railway running to Amsterdam and Utrecht.

The minibuses offer space to eight passengers and one wheelchair passenger and are fully equipped to operate in the Dutch public transport network. The four battery packs are mounted under the vehicle. The estimated range of the buses is approximately 220 km (135 mi).
