We are proud to announce that we recently delivered 40 Civitas Economy low-floor buses to VIA in Berlin. These modern, fully accessible buses play a key role in the flexible on-demand mobility services of the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), enabling smooth and comfortable transport for all Berliners. The low-floor buses are used as replacement transport, giving passengers access to public transit even on difficult-to-reach routes, whenever and wherever they need it.

The bus, which meets strict European safety standards, accommodates up to 6 passengers plus the driver and can safely transport up to 3 wheelchairs with the 56 kWh battery version. The 81 kWh version can hold up to 2 wheelchairs and offers an extended range. Thanks to the lightweight TriflexAIR 2.0 floor system, various configurations are possible, ensuring secure and easy wheelchair fastening.

This vehicle, a MAN TGE wheelchair-accessible minibus, was a major attraction at the weekly market and gave visitors the chance to discover the latest innovations in accessible transportation.

In March, the Bürgerbus Association will take a significant step by replacing their trusted Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, which has provided reliable service over 300,000 kilometers, with this MAN TGE wheelchair bus.
